I was never one for using attractor nymphs made almost completely out of synthetic materials. My opinion of them has changed in
recent years. This is one of those attractor patterns that have been very successful for me. It was developed by Mr. James
Cooper from Mississauga, Ontario.
Begin by placing copper bead on hook. Wrap thread from bead to hook curve. Tie in 2 strands of red Krystal Flash. Tie in
copper rib. Tie in 3 – 4 strands of Pearl Krstal flash and wrap forward to bead. Fold 2 strands of red Krystal Flash forward
along the back of fly and tie off at bead. Rib the fly. Tie in a couple strands of peacock herl and wrap thorax behind bead. Tie off
and whip finish.
If you have any questions about this fly or would like to submit a Fly of
the Month I can be reached at 203 734-7879 or e-mail me at pdinice@snet.net. I will be tying it at the next HFFA meeting.
