Monticello's directions
This year’s speaker will be Wendell (Ozzie) Ozefovich, Born in eastern Pennsylvania, Wendell
(Ozzie) grew up fishing the streams of the coal mining region. His passion for trout and their
world began at age six, when a brook trout fell prey to a garden worm. That passion continues
unabated for the salmon and trout he now pursues with fly rod and camera. Years ago Ozzie
combined his love of trout with a lifelong interest in movie making resulting in his series of
underwater videos that explore how trout feed, spawn and behave in the wild. His narrated video
presentations chronicle wild and hatchery trout in their natural environs and have opened the eyes
of thousands of anglers in the Northeastern United States. He presentation will be Not Just Trout,

HFFA 2008 Banquet Committee

Hi everyone and many thanks to all who attended the banquet, as Vice
President I was supposed to run the banquet but two longtime members
were gracious enough to do it for me and I want to thank them for their
help and they were Paul Duburek and Russ Bevans and also their helpers
Madelin and Megan Duburek and their friends,Eileen Bevans,Craig
MacBride,Debbie Goeben and all the others who helped and I'm sure
there were a few more. I think that it was one of the best banquet's we
have had in a long time and I will try to do as good a job next year
(Oh yes and I won another Rod)
Best Regards
Max Ruggiero
This year’s Banquet was a success thanks to the many members who donated to the raffle
tables and all the members who came to eat and socialize. My thanks go out also to the
members who put in their time and efforts to put together this great Banquet. I would like to
especially thank Paul Duberek for the many donations on the various tables including the
silent auction table to the regular raffle tables. I also would like to thank Paul for all the
many years that he has devoted himself to the yearly banquets. Thanks you, also, to
Madeleine Duberek for the many years of taking care of reservations and seating for the
banquet. Thank you for the hand crafted items that were donated by many talented people.
Hopefully by the next newsletter we will have a complete report of the banquet.
The winner of the Cookie Jar was William Lanzoni. The winner of the $500 gift certificate
donated by the Housatonic River Outfitters was John “Moose” Bellows.
Respectfully,
Russ
